Alexandra Deek received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2008 from Queen’s University and has since been working as a registered physiotherapist. She is also a graduate from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. Alex has completed several post-graduate courses including acupuncture, functional dry needling, manual therapy, soft tissue release, and mulligan mobilizations with movement. Alex has experience working with people of all ages, conditions and activity levels. She has competed in many sports throughout her life, including competitive sprint flatwater paddling and enjoys staying active outdoors with her young family, who live in the Westboro community. Alex is passionate about promoting active healthy living and strives to help her patients optimize their well-being through injury prevention and patient specific treatment.

Dr. Laginski received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, an Honours B.Sc in Biology/Psychology from Queen’s University and holds certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and Active Release Techniques. She has a special interest in sports injury utilizing a complement of chiropractic care including ART, acupuncture and modalities along with a progressive rehabilitation program to bring the athlete back to optimal performance. She also promotes the importance of injury prevention using functional outcome measures to detect muscular weakness before injury occurs. Alexandra Désilets received her first diploma in Fitness and health promotion at Algonquin College in 2016. Her passion for movement and injury prevention lead her to pursue further education in the Intensive Massage therapy Program at Algonquin College, where she received her second diploma in 2020. During Alex’s schooling she acquired experience treating varsity athletes, sports injuries, prenatal, clients suffering with chronic pain or acute injuries, and helping clients with general physical discomforts. After playing competitive soccer for 10 years and experiencing injuries requiring surgery and rehabilitation. She was motivated to learn more about health, fitness and rehabilitation, in order to get back into being able to participate in things that she loves doing. This has now lead Alex to be able to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, from down hill skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling in the winter, to water skiing, hiking, and kayaking in the summer. She believes it is important to incorporate exercise; strength training and mobility movement into her treatment plans to help better her clients into returning what they love to do most.

Dr. Laurel Pauli received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto with Summa Cum Laude distinction. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2018. She is also a graduate of the McMaster University Contemporary Acupuncture program and is certified in instrument assisted soft tissue therapy technique.

While completing her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to work as a therapist for the Women’s Varsity Field Hockey team and was fortunate enough to travel across Canada with the athletes and provide on field care for various sports-related injuries.

Dr. Pauli uses an evidence-based approach in her practice and believes each individual is unique. She strives towards providing an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan for every patient. She likes to use a diverse range of treatment techniques, including chiropractic adjustments and mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, modalities, progressive rehabilitative exercises, and education. She has a special interest in sports-related injuries, jaw/facial pain, neck pain/headaches, back pain, nerve-related pain, healthy aging and other musculoskeletal injuries.

When she’s not in the clinic you may find her spending her free time finding ways to stay active and healthy. She loves practicing yoga, weight training, downhill skiing and paddle boarding as forms of exercise. Dr. Pauli also likes exploring the city for the best restaurants, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Pauli looks forward to working with her patients to educate and inspire them towards reaching their health goals.

Dr. Carolyn McNeill received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2011. She graduated from The University of British Columbia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics. She is also a graduate of the McMaster University Contemporary Acupuncture program and is a certified provider of Active Release Technique and Functional Range Release. She is a former competitive swimmer at the varsity and national levels and competed at the Canadian Olympic Trials in 2004. In 2015, she was inducted into the UBC Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the women’s swim team. During her career as a competitive athlete she became interested in the human body, sports injuries and the prevention and treatment of those injuries. Her treatments focus on manual techniques, acupuncture and rehabilitative exercises. Dr. McNeill is committed to ongoing learning and strives to always provide her patients with individualized, evidence-based treatments that will lead to a rapid recovery.

Kirsten became an Athletic Therapist because it joined two of her passions in life – injury rehabilitation and sports. She graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2005. She went on to Mount Royal College for an Advanced Certification in Athletic Therapy, completed in 2006. She took the National Certification Exam, graduating in 2007 as a Certified Athletic Therapist. She has been active all her life, involved with sports from all aspects: as a viewer, athlete, coach and provider of medical coverage. She takes a full body approach to her Athletic Therapy (AT) treatments, which include a combination of Biomechanical Assessments, Soft Tissue Release, Myofasical Release, Manual Techniques, Functional Range Release and Conditioning Programs to provide her clients with a safe and speedy recovery. She is always looking to further her knowledge and takes many continuing education course, some of her most recent include becoming a prenatal Athletic Therapist and First Responder Instructor.
